Probably the most joyfully decorated restaurant I've been to in the heart of Wilmette's downtown! If you go on a weekend you will wait for a.table for a while. It's worth it once you get your festive cocktail! And the food is delicious. The Smashroom Burger is probably one of the best burgers I've had in a while, although they are known for their BBQ. Service is fast and high tech. It is loud inside which seems to be a normal thing now in most restaurants in the area. Not great for deep conversations but the place will certainly put you in the spirit of the holidays!!
This was the best smokehouse I've been to in a long time... If not ever. They nail it on multiple levels. Service? Amazing. They paid attention to their guests without being overbearing. Food? Best flavors I've experienced. The brisket, chicken, and ribs were excellent. They took great care of my daughter who's in a wheelchair and paid attention to her.
Our group of five adults and two kids stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for brunch and were seated promptly. The vibe is really cool, open air counter seats, as well as indoor and outdoor seating. Our server was Bianca, who was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious- especially the Bris-Cuit, Churro French Toast and chopped chicken salad. Drinks were also tasty. Prior to giving us the final check, Bianca took a minute to review our order to ensure it was accurate (first time we ever had it reviewed prior to final bill, which we appreciated). We’ll definitely be back!
From the moment I walked in, they were friendly, what a great service and overall vibe Super great people here. Richard let me tell you talk about having not a great time but great company He’s great !! Thank you for your humble and kind service!! Will definitely come back only took this as my first time to experience a great experience with Pit crew . The WINGGGGGSSS are a must have !!! Also, heard there’s a karaoke night on Thursdays, so we’ll be coming back to experience that!! Follow up to come soon
We found Pit and Tap by googling Christmas bars in the suburbs. We fell in love with the decorations we saw online and we were not disappointed when we got there! We knew it would be busy the Saturday before Christmas but didn't mind waiting. We were greeted by friendly and welcoming staff and put our name in. We were able to wait by the bar, enjoy yummy Christmas themed cocktails, and chat. When we were seated, our server was polite and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. We got the brisket nachos, a burger, and a pulled pork sandwich. Everything was so good!! We enjoyed the decorations and atmosphere so much that we hung around after we got up from our table to just take some festive pictures and enjoy ourselves. Highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back again.
We arrived with a party of 10 plus a high chair around 1115 and were seated immediately but it was a packed house by the time we left. The food was great and our server was friendly and very good. I had the ranch Caesar with chicken and it was delicious! Others raved about pulled pork. The Christmas lights were spectacular!
If you like great BBQ and an excellent choice of craft beers on tap this is the place to be. The smoked wings are phenomenal and the brisket is some of the best around
Best kept secret! BBQ was very smokey and juicy and I loved the BBQ sauces, fun to try them all. We had the wings (Alabama white sauce is the best!). Cocktails were delish and service was prompt and attentive. Highly recommend!
